Mr. Capozzi is a U.S. Army combat veteran with nearly 25 years of military service, including five combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Since enlisting in 1996 at the age of 17, he has built a career focused on public service, leadership, and supporting military and veteran communities.
Following his military retirement, Mr. Capozzi served as Military and Veteran Advisor to U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan, where he worked on policy and constituent matters impacting service members, veterans, and their families.
Mr. Capozzi later served as Special Assistant to Governor Mike Dunleavy, managing a broad portfolio that included the Alaska Departments of Administration, Labor and Workforce Development, Commerce, and Military and Veteran Affairs. In this role, he also worked closely with several state corporations and authorities, including the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority, Alaska Aerospace Corporation, Alaska Railroad Corporation, and the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute.
